I’m Paul Barry, founder of barrierfree.net.au and a Sydney-based writer, publisher and consultant.
I was diagnosed with Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) in 2004. You can learn more about PLS here. I currently use a Pride J600 powerchair and a Quickie Ti manual chair. My speech is also affected by my condition and I mostly use a small Fujitsu notebook and a BlackBerry to communicate.
I am married to Ruth Pilkinton, and we have 2 children – Mary, age 10, and Daniel, age 8.
